Alappuzha Beach : |

Alappuzha beach is quite a popular
tourist spot, known to provide relaxation in the
district of Alappuzha (Alleppey). The pier, which
extends into the sea here, is around 140 years old.
Blessed with nature's green beauties such as lagoons,
vast lakes and numerous fresh water rivers, Alappuzha is
a natural wonderland of Kerala state.
The Alappuzha (Alleppey) beach is spectacular. At one
end are the dense palm groves that are so characteristic
of Kerala's landscape. It has a long sandy beach. For

Park and an old lighthouse nearby.

Bekal Beach : |

Bekal Beach is at a distance of 2 km
from Kovalam City in Kerala. Bekal Beach is a small
beach very near to Kovalam. It is famous for some of the
very beautiful views of the sunset. The beach will
provide you an insight into Kerala's coastal life. Bekal
Beach is a fine example of amicable cultural ties among
the Portuguese, Dutch and the local Kings in the
pre-colonial era. The antiquity of the port can be made
out from the ruins of some rock-cut temples.
Sight Seeing
The Bekal Beach is located near Bekal Fort , one of the
best-kept forts in Kerala. Bekal fort is situated on a
high rock and spread over 35 acres and reaches into the
Arabian Sea. The fort must be visited to have a peek
into the magnificent architecture of the fort. There are
other ruins of a few rock-cut temples worth visiting.

Beypore Beach: |

Beypore Beach is located at
the mouth of the Chaliyar River at a distance of mere 10
km to the south of Kozhikode or Calicut in Kerala. It
was earlier famous for the Ship Building industry.
Beypore was one of the most important port and fishing
harbor of Kerala during ancient times. The place was an
important trade and maritime center for merchants from
Western Asia. Uru, the traditional Arabian trading
vessel, was constructed at the boat-building yard of
Beypore. Beypore also has a magnificent bridge built
entirely of stone. The bridge is made by huge stones
piled together to make a pathway into the sea for nearly
2 km.
Sight Seeing
The stone bridge on the Baypore Beach attracts a lot of
tourists. Since the beach is at a close proximity with
Kozikhode, you can visit the tourist attractions of that
place as well.

meters away from the main land at Dharmadam. The island
